I draw my inspiration from landscapes, people, and experiences I’ve had along the Maine coast and beyond. My love of the sea, mountains, and the bustling tourist town of Bar Harbor inspire all kinds of work, from naturalistic drawings to quirky mixed media pieces. I often take photos and return to work in my home studio, but I also enjoy sketching en plein air to begin many of my landscape-based pieces.

I am a high school visual arts teacher in Blue Hill, Maine at George Stevens Academy. I teach introductory to Advanced Placed Drawing and 2D Design courses to 9 - 12 graders.

I am currently working on a series titled Cathartic Maine; a total of 12 mixed media paintings I am working to complete alongside my AP kiddos deadline in May 2020!
